Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I enjoy cooking, baking, dancing and raising my sons.

On Quarantine & Conference for Women

I need to stop obsessively checking to see if I got into the Quantic eMBA program. It’s really not healthy. I really want to keep taking the classes, it was such a thrill to learn in such a disruptive-to-the-standard way.

Thankfully, it’s a busy week for a number of reasons. I’m quarantined, so that’s fun. It’s an overabundance of caution, which I appreciate, but still. Even though I’m fully aware that it’s highly unlikely that I’ve contracted COVID-19, just the whole situation of getting tested (there’s a 5 day lead time to even get the swab up one’s nose) is a difficult process mentally.

This week, I’m so excited to go to the (virtual) Massachusett’s Conference for Women! I’ve attended twice before. Each time, the speakers inspire me to read/listen to their material and anyone they reference as someone worth following. It typically consumes about 6 months into the next year. The books and podcasts have truly enriched my life and for that as well as many other reasons, I’m so glad I’m being given the opportunity to attend once again.

I've decided that since this year is virtual, I'm going to go as all in as I can. Meaning, my goal for the day is to ask questions when I typically wouldn't feel brave enough to get up to the microphone. I've started that practice on the app where you can be matched with other attendees based on their interest and your own.
